The SCYP Mentor Program is an opportunity for Philharmonic members to exercise leadership and teaching skills. Under the supervision of the Camerata conductor, Mentors assist musicians in learning their music and preparing for concerts. This includes demonstrating musical excerpts, leading sectional rehearsals, and giving guidance during full rehearsals.
Participants are accepted from the Philharmonic only. Students wishing to participate may apply at any point during the season. Acceptance is based on their application and an individual interview.
