The mission of the Southern California Youth Philharmonic is to provide a distinguished orchestral experience designed to motivate and enhance musical talent and foster musical growth through the rehearsal and performance of the world’s greatest music. We strive for musical excellence and the development of poise and confidence in each individual through the joy of music making.
The SCYP provides an instructional balance between high quality ensemble experiences and individual training. In addition to weekly rehearsals, each member has the opportunity to participate in our comprehensive program offerings that combine enlightening educational opportunities with powerful performances.
