Concert Attire

Any musician invited to join the Southern California Youth Philharmonic must follow the attire standards for every concert.

Philharmonic Orchestra, Flute Choir, Clarinet Choir:

Ladies:  Black cowl neck blouse with 3/4 length sleeves. Wrinkle resistant machine washable knit. Easy to fit with side vents. Available in ladies and youth sizes. Style 9793

 Black dress shoes and black nylons or knee-highs; no sneakers.

Ladies have the option of:
 Black "A" line floor length skirt with easy fit elastic waistband. Wrinkle resistant machine washable knit. Adult and youth sizes. Style 504FAA
 Black Palazzo Pants with easy fit elastic waistband. Wrinkle resistant machine washable knit. Adult and youth sizes. Style 516AA

Gentlemen:
 Black slacks and jacket, white collared shirt and black bow tie. Traditional tuxedos are acceptable; no tails.

All gentlemen must wear black dress socks with black shoes; no sneakers are allowed.

Camerata and Vivace:

Ladies:

 White boat-neck blouse with 3/4 length sleeves. In wrinkle resistant machine washable knit. Easy to fit with side vents. Available in youth or ladies sizes. Style 9713

 Black dress shoes and black nylons or knee-highs; no sneakers.

Ladies have the option of:

 Black "A" line floor length skirt with easy fit elastic waistband. Wrinkle resistant machine washable knit. Adult and youth sizes. Style 504FAA
 Black Palazzo pants with easy fit elastic waistband. Wrinkle resistant machine washable knit. Adult and youth sizes. Style 516AA

Gentlemen:
Black slacks white button front dress shirt or tuxedo shirt and black bow tie. No jacket is required for Camerata or Vivace.

All gentlemen must wear black dress socks with black shoes; no sneakers are allowed.

All Ladies concert attire must be purchased through Formal Fashions, Inc. This will insure a uniform look for all our ensemble musicians. Ladies fittings will be on October 24 and 31, 2009. The price per item is $30. Payment is expected in full at that time. Please make checks payable to SCYP. .
